Add Snappie to your known validators
Fast Solana mainnet snapshots from Amsterdam over a 100 GbE link: a full snapshot downloads in 60 seconds. Every archive’s bank hash matches the cluster’s.

Agave
--known-validator snappieAMus13pmFwd8aDPKDHTTVYWo6y41zSpasU8L
You can pass the flag more than once, so keep your existing known validators. Add --only-known-rpc to download snapshots only from them.
Firedancer
[snapshots.sources]
servers = ["http://45.154.33.14:8899"]
Firedancer needs the server address. Putting Snappie’s key in allow_list won’t work, because Firedancer doesn’t follow redirects to another port. Set allow_any = false under [snapshots.sources.gossip] to download only from the servers you list.
aria2c
curl -s http://45.154.33.14:8899/latest.json \
| jq -r '.full_snapshot_url, .incremental_snapshot_url' \
| aria2c -x16 -s16 -i -
This downloads the newest full and incremental archives over 16 connections each and saves them under their real names. It needs jq. Run it in your snapshots directory before the node starts.
wget
wget --trust-server-names \
http://45.154.33.14:8899/snapshot.tar.bz2 \
http://45.154.33.14:8899/incremental-snapshot.tar.bz2
wget saves both archives under their real names, over one connection each. Run it in your snapshots directory before the node starts.
What you download
Snappie writes Agave-format archives at the same slots Agave does: a full snapshot every 25,000 slots and an incremental every 300. Before publishing an archive, it recomputes the bank hash and compares it with the cluster’s. If the two differ, nothing is published.
Each archive’s name includes its accounts hash, so you can compare it with any other server’s archive of the same slot. In a mainnet test, all 98 of our archives that shared a slot with the cluster’s snapshot servers had the same names as theirs.
Download at full speed
Fast downloads need a large TCP receive window on your side. Most Linux distributions cap it at 6 MiB, which limits one connection to about 6 MiB per round trip. Raise the cap before your node starts:
sudo sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_rmem="10240 87380 134217728"
At a 10 ms round trip, this took one Agave download from 0.45 to 2.7 GB/s in our tests. To keep the setting after a reboot, put it in a file under /etc/sysctl.d.
